The idea for this CD was born after various students requested Kris to make one. Kris has been teaching Yoga and Meditation since 2001, and many students have commented on the soothing quality and peaceful tone to Kris's voice. At the end of one class, a peaceful-looking student sat up, and in a tranquil voice she said, “Please, make a CD. I want to feel this relaxed at home.” So, the CD was born.
There are 7 tracks. This first gives ideas on how to sit or lay comfortably, so that you will get the most out of the meditation. The remaining 6 tracks are guided visualizations about 10 minutes each. The intention is for each visualization to bring the listener to a deeper state of peacefulness and relaxation. It is best to follow only one of the meditations per sitting, and then use another one on another day or later the same day.
The Full Body Relaxation goes through different parts of the body, releasing each part one at a time. Planets is based off of the idea of being spacious and weightless. This is an excellent visualization if you are feeling stuck and limited. Next comes Molecules. Here you begin to actually feel your energy and its connection to your surroundings. Chakras goes through the 7 energy centers of the body in a systematic manner. The Heart Flower meditation helps you to develop healing and compassion. Finally, Joyful Energy shows you that happiness and joy are a choice that you can make.
