notes

With her rich voice, smoldering live performances, and elegant songcraft, Elisa Korenne stands out even in the high caliber New York City music scene. Elisa blends husky vocals, engaging lyrics, and catchy melodies to create a raw, moody sound with a rock flair. In any venue, she brings edge, energy, and the rare ability of consummate performers to keep an audience riveted.

Elisa has over a decade of experience performing and writing indie rock, blues, and folk. As the lead singer of the New Haven-based funk-blues band Blue Fountain Diner, Elisa Korenne played with Buffalo Tom, G. Love & Special Sauce, and Parliament. In 2001, she founded the rock band 'Lolett' to add ambient guitar textures and funk- and R&B-inspired grooves to her songs.

For four years starting in 1996, Elisa took a break from public performing while she got her master's degree and founded an international technology nonprofit. In early 2000, she reconnected with her first love, music, and began to write a new repertoire to reflect her musical and personal development.

Performing around New York City, Elisa has created a sound that combines vocal intensity, sharp, contemplative lyrics, and a driving groove inspired by rock, funk, R&B, psychedelic rock, pop, electronica, and soul. She has played at venues across the Northeast including Le Bar Bat, CB's Gallery, the Elbow Room, the C-Note, Pete's Candy Store, Galapagos, New Hope's John and Peter's, and Long Island's Wrong Way Inn.

Elisa is wonderful, and underrated! i can't wait to hear her in NYC! i listen to one song and i'm already moved, she has a wonderful voice, slightly like Dido's sorprano but all her own, and thoughtful lyrics. ~Halley
