    Absolutely LOVE this CD. Louder, LOUDER couldn't be a more perfect title since I find myself gradually turning it up while jamming to the different tracks. Every song is different and just as good as the next. With most CD's I tend to skip around. But with this one, I can let it play all the way through and be just as satisfied. "Hollow" and "Get Around" are my two favorites. You guys rock my socks! Keep it up!!! xoxoxoxo

    This cd has six of my favorite songs by Killola on it. The other two songs that aren't among my favorites still kick ass. I played this CD for my boyfriend, who'd never listened to Killola before, and he loved it. (He thinks your voice is awesome, Lisa!) Basically, Killola rocks. Listen to Killola.     What can one say about Killola that hasn't already been said again...and again...and again? As a piano player of almost 30 years and a whore of the New Orleans/Austin music scene, I can honestly tell you that very little so illuminating and ABSOLUTELY creative has come along since the pop/punk melodies of Siouxsie and the Banshees in the late 70s and 80s, or the end of the world as Michael Stipe gave us later. This band WILL define a future genre of music that will be imitated, but never matched. Blondie? Come on. Even Debbie Harry has to get the fuck out of THESE guys' ways. Do yourself a favor. Buy the CD. Buy the DVD. And do it now. Because if you don't, well, you're going to be a lonely wanker with your Britney Spears collection who'll never know the sweet smell of burning circuitry and cigarette smoke that DEFINE the gorgeous rose garden of sound....that is Killola.

    Killola is an amazing group. They seem to be single handedly breathing fresh life back into rock music with dynamic and constantly changing vocals over very intersting and captivating melodies. All the music on this CD is different, nothing sounds the same and the effort they put into their songwritting really shows as does their effort in everythign else.     Not since Gwen Stefani led No Doubt have we heard such a strong, confident, and spunky female lead vocal. Lisa Rieffel’s pipes are all three and more on the group’s album Louder, LOUDER! – a suitable title for the impatiently hyperactive foursome. In fact, Rieffel’s powerful voice combined with the band’s talent for effortlessly backing her up, make Killola’s sound reminiscent of seasoned chick-led rock groups of the ’80s. Seriously, these guys sound like they were born with instruments in their hands. This in-your-face album is a welcomed change from the not so in-your-face female vocals we’ve had thrown in our faces lately. And honestly, who would you rather have rocking at your parties – Blondie and Pat Benatar or Jessica and Ashlee Simpson? That’s what I thought. The highly polished Louder, LOUDER! kicks off with “Barrel of Donkeys” and Rieffel claiming, “Well if you start me up, ya better finish me off,” a claim I have no problem believing. I also have no problem believing that Killola’s energy is something that won’t be easily finished off. But the album isn’t totally full of get-up-and-go; the third and fifth tracks, “I Don’t Know Who” and “It’s All Right,” both show a softer, romantic side of the group. After all, rockers fall in love, too, right? The album is fairly short – eight tracks (yes, there’s a bonus!) clocking in at 27 minutes and 27 seconds. This is good for two reasons: first, it’s not overkill, and second, it leaves us wanting more. If Killola’s success is going to be half as alive as Louder, LOUDER!, I think it’s safe to say we’ll be getting more. And that is exactly what we want – more Killola! - ALICIA SPARKS, REVOLT MEDIA

    EXCELLENT CD that arrived almost instantly. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is that not EVERY song is as addictive as I Don't Know Who. If every song could be as good as that, they'd earn 5 stars and then some. Still, the rest of the tracks are great and I'd pay to see them live. This CD is worth the money.

    the cd lives up to its name, managing to blow such un-fun acts as the killers and the bravery out of the water that they pretend to be in. adhering to the same sensibilities of the aforementioned groups, killola and their e.p. succeed, where the others don't. this album sticks to the late '70s and early '80s inspiration that the current "new new wave" bands utilize. but this female vocalized band has pumped their c.d. with more raunch and balls than most androgynous male acts of today have the manhood to pull-off or whip-out. start to finish, it is fun and dancable while maintaining a firm straddle of the mechanical bull we all call "rock and roll." don't be surprised if their next release blows up and gets all sorts of play. so get the album, now, so you can be one of the "cool ones" who had their stuff, before they exploded. this is a record that fans of blondie, queen, the sex pistols and mindless self indulgence can all gather around.

    I got this CD about a month ago and I've listened to almost nothing else since. "Barrel of Donkeys" is one of my favorite songs ever, and "Hollow" is not far behind. Lisa Rieffel sounds to me like Janis Joplin if she'd been in a punkier band. I can't tell you how much I love this CD and I've already missed two performances in LA. I can't wait to see this group live if they are this good in the recording studio. Wow! Really, 6 stars out of 5.

    Female fronted band Killola from Burbank, California has introduced something upbeat, pleasurable, and full of energy with their latest CD Louder, Louder!. The CD was officially released on January 24th 2006 featuring 7 tracks with a hidden track and has been receiving a great interest! Killola are Dan Grody (drums, vocals), Mike Ball (guitar, vocals), Johnny Dunn (bass guitar, vocals), and Lisa Rieffel (lead vocals). The band does an amazing job rocking out on all 7 tracks and comes across as a crazy energetic live band. Dan, Mike, and Johnny have yielding talents they’ve put together giving Killola their funky upbeat rock ‘n’ roll sound. Lisa’s vocals have this extremely aggressive yet sexy cute girls voice that’s very seductive at times. The changes between the two styles are dazzling how she mixes them together. It’s almost like her voice is telling a story from a fairytale or some sort of journey. She has very interesting vocals and there’s nothing really out there to compare it to, definitely original!     This is a great cd! My favorite tracks are #1, 3, 7, but all are excellent!! The band is great, and you can actually feel the emotion in Lisa's voice, especially on track #3. Very talented band.     Killola! Where have you been all my life?! This album ROCKS! I can't stop playing it and its been over 2 weeks since I got the CD, thats a looong time for me, I'm usually bored after 2 days IF that! And to the person that said the vocals sucked - stick to your manufactured pop music: where the vocals are fake (as well as everything else)and practically computer-generated. If you don't have this album you can't possibly say you love rock! You need this CD, buy it!!!... You know you want to.

    It will change your life. It will jolt your world. It will make you jirate parts of your body that would surely shame your mother. You know you're in for a the ride of your life from the very first high energy and brash chords of the album's opening track "Barell of Donkeys". From there it only eases up on the gas pedal twice to let it's two semi-mellow songs "I Don't Know Who" and "It's All Right" pass by. It wraps up with the anthem-esque bonus track "Dr. Rock". A fist pumping little ditty that, even though I've never seen Killola live, screams audience paticipation when it's played. And that's about it. The whole thing flies by in a fast but sense tingling 27:29. If you missed anything, I suggest you buckle up, push play, and ride again! It only gets better every play through. My prediction for this LA rock band (who I can easily say is my favorite band EVER right now): Killola will single handedly save rock music...and in the process probably start a few riots.

    I'm not a professional reviewer, nor do I work for a magazine or anything like that. BUt I like good music... Louder, Louder! has a very (very!) new sound. Killola masterfully blends garage flare with a magnetic look-at-me appeal. The singer's voice is tuff as hell, allthewhile remaining very ladylike. She has a TON of control. The band and music is straight-up BAD ASS. The first song is a hit for sure, and the last song (bonus track) is a VERY cool treat. YOU NEED THIS CD!!!
