notes
Linda is something of a mixed salad: a professional geologist and amateur astronomer, she teaches all manner of college earth and space sciences. However, she is at heart, a musician, playing mostly eclectic strings and percussion. Her harp music is for hospital and hospice patients, funerals, weddings, private parties, church services, and random celebrations of beauty.
Linda's first harp cd, "Transition", was released in December 2001, and her second, "Full Hearts, Empty Mind" was released December 2003. Her 3rd cd "Tethys", released in December 2007, is a collaboration with Seattle-based flutist Ann Lindquist, and koto player Shiho Kurauchi (together they are ShAnLi...find us here: http://cdbaby.com/cd/shanli. She was a founding member (playing harps, percussion, tamboura, and dousongoni) of Seattle's World Meditation Ensemble. Find WME's cds, "Sacred Fusion" and "Sacred Sojourn" on CD Baby.
Current musical adventures now take place at home in rural British Columbia after moving here in the spring 2007 (cd #4 of all Celtic tunes coming soon!). Other passionate activities include poetry, drawing and painting, dance, organic gardening, and travels in Ireland, New Zealand, and Mexico. And her three incandescently beautiful daughters are the loves of her life. For further information please see www.lindakhandro.com or write to lmk@lindakhandro.com.
