The Ken Myers Project's quest to make seriously entertaining and relaxing music is in full throttle with the release of the aptly titled, "Serenity". On the heels of his first CD
release, "A Quiet Passion" this new effort takes off where that project ended, soft, melodic synth pads sometimes intertwined with acoustic violin, solo cello, soft oboe and quiet piano phrases. The 13 tracks on this CD follow in the ambient, soundtrack genre reminiscent of artists such as Tim Story,and Harold Budd, and the early electronica of pioneers Tangerine Dream.
Ken Myers has been recording music since 1990 but his latest efforts are the first to be distributed and streamed worldwide. The last track on this CD, "Eastern Promise" was
originally an 'online only' release streaming regularly on American Idol Underground's website and is consistently in the top 20 Electronica charts there under the World music
sub-genre.
"Serenity" is music for visual interpretation, both real and imagined.Crafted by the artist for that very purpose, and with the wish that the listener take in the calmness and
the tranquility that this music promotes. The Ken Myers Project should not be thought of as just another 'new age, ambient' artist. But as an experience.
