notes
The Bulletproof Heart Album is the first released by the Sixers (SK, BFact, Kit & Cookie Dough) and you always keep a warm place in your heart for your first. The record was made in the fall of 2003 and comes together in the 4-guys-in-a-rock-band way. Other then Gordon Stone's pedal steel on three tracks, there are no special guests on the record and the albums that were refrenced while making it mostly came from the 1970's. The other key element on the album is the featuring of all three vocalists in the group. Kit's middle chocalate, SK's busted baritone and Factor's reedy top vocal make the bitter laments a little more bitter and the love songs a little more love filled. No Frills for the Bulletproof Heart.

sk's best!
author: anthonyI ordered all 4 stephen kellogg cd's available at cd baby, and I must say, this one is my favorite. There is a pop sensibility herein that compels you to push "repeat cd" on your chosen electronic device and sing along to each track. Considering this is the newest of the four cds, perhaps SK and the sixers are on the cusp of something special???
loose&tight, heartfelt'n'frisky--catch this!
author: bobeffheartfelt lyrics, frisky musicianship, memorable hooks--what more couldja askfer?!? sixers band is tight and loose all-at-once best album yet from this beantown boy--treat yourself to this one (and catch the band live for a real jolt!) still in rotation after 3 mos. in my 6-disc changer (10 days is GOOD!); definitely desert island quality....
I know what I like and I like Stephen Kellogg.
author: PeggyI am not a music expert but I know what I like and I like Stephen Kellogg. My favorite track is the second song “You’ve Changed”. He holds his own with groups like LifeHouse and Train.
As great as expected
author: Joerg from GermanyAfter two years S. K. is back with a new band and record. And I am very happy with the result. Once again he shows that he is one of the best songwriters around. An album filled with great songs and outstanding harmonies. Thanks for this first class musican. And the crystal clear recording.
