Kelli Johnson is a singer/songwriter/guitar player
from Gadsden , Al. She has been performing at various
bluegrass festivals and other venues in the Southeast
for almost a decade.Though she has been compared to
artists like Allison Krauss , Sheryl Crow , and Rhonda
Vincent , she hastaken her love of Bluegrass , Country,
R & B , and Rock to create a sound that is all her own
and like no other!
Kelli currently splits her time performing solo, with the bluegrass group Distant Cousins, and performing solo.Her blend of traditional and progressive bluegrass has
created an ever growing fan base among even the most
traditional fans.Kelli has shared the stage with such acts
as Claire Lynch, Thyrd Time Out, Valerie Smith and Liberty
Pike, Wade Hayes , Ken Mellons, and Highway 101!
Kelli has recorded 2 CD's and a DVD with the Distant Cousins.

author: tony lumpkinThis is NOT your "run-of-the-mill" homemade CD. It is 95% plus on EVERY level. Material is surprisingly creative, Vocal performance (including very subtle harmonies) is as good as anyone's, Musicianship and production top notch....and the real surprise is it's all original, made in Alabama by some good ole gals and boys who aren't supposed to be as good as the Nashville cats! Surpriiiissse!! Just one negative: Don't judge the book by it's cover...the art doesn't come close to doing justice to what's inside! (Maybe Mr. Sony will fix that when he discovers this jewel.)
