notes
Keith Haman started his professional singing and songwriting career with The Hideaways in 2004 at the age of 22, after playing in rock, punk, and country bands, and as a solo act around north San Diego County during high school and college. In 2006 The Hideaways released their only album to date, “The Whiskey Tango Sessions”, which garnered radio play all over the world and placed highly in a few “Americana/alt-country” charts in Europe.
2008 brings Keith’s solo debut “Longest Way To Go” which is a blending of his most apparent musical influences. There’s folk, country, rock, punk, and a little bit of metal*. Some solo acoustic performances date back to 2006, while the tracks featuring Keith’s backup band Grizzly Circus were recorded in December and January of 2007. The album was produced by Keith at The Music Playce in Escondido, CA (with title track production by Henry Hirsch at Edison Studios, NYC).
*Keith is only influenced by metal in attitude. And crushing guitars.
