notes

KM Williams is an Old Soul! He has the uncanny ability in the Blues field to Write or Arrange an Old Blues song or Spiritual and make it sound like it's 70 years old. If Lightnin Hopkins and Blind Willie Johnson were still alive ,they would be playing music very similar to What KM Williams plays;Straightup,Classic Country Blues,Old Church Hymns & Foot Stompin' Boogie done with Just a Raw,Soulful voice and gutbucket,Old School Blues Guitar playing. KM Williams is Definitely a Modern Master of The Old School Texas Country Blues. - A Blues Fan. A Damn Fine CD! - Don O' ,Blues Program director,KNON 89.3 FM ,Dallas ,TX. the #2 Blues CD in the DFW Living Blues Poll for The Month of September,2003.

  • Yet another blues classic from KM
    author: Si

This album runs through a very wide variety of blues styles. The best track is the title track that has a fantastic catfish blues styled riff running through it and elsewhere we are treted to old style country blues, boogie and spirituals.

  • It's a Ride in the Texas of long ago

He's probably one of the greatest roots masters from the contemporary Texas school. A master who serves you all of it with astounding honestly. This CD brings us back to the classic country-blues,religious hymns, and 30's foot-stompin' boogies. A journey deep into refreshing sources and beautiful tributes to musicians sometimes forgotten today.I was not fond of roots music. KM Williams gave me back the taste of it.Maybe it will do the same for you!
