The Return of Brother Lemon is a modern day blues revival. K. M. Williams plays the blues like so few do today. Truely an authentic masterful bluesman of this era . Though inspired by the early legends , K.M. is a unique, original force in todays blues scene. Simple , yet percise. This CD will grip your soul from the beginning to the end without letting up. This is what the blues is about!!! No showboating here. Washboard Jacksons percussion is a perfect compliment to K.M.'s performance on this CD. This CD gets better with every play .

  • This music has great appeal!

Williams pays tribute to one of his Texas forbears.Williams hews to to his usual bedrock country blues approach with an emphasis on propulsive gooves that owe a lot to John Lee Hooker.Williams comes close to Jefferson on "Goin' to the River",while "Last Train Blues" evokes Skip James. Williams makes music that sounds like it might have been recorded more than a half century ago. His music has great appeal! Jim DeKoster
