从一位一无所有的学生，到现在拥有自己的工作室，罗觥荃可说是为芸芸DIY创作人做了一个很好的典范。至少它没有向现实低头，反而继续坚持自己的音乐理想，而且他还在这个艰难环境中，为自己找到一个继续音乐路上走下去的方向。
《风筝的牧人》是觥荃的首张专辑，由他自资发行。在这张专辑中，他包办了作曲及编曲部分，至于填词方面则获得了好朋友的拔笔相助。这张专辑的音乐都很舒服，在你心情低落的时候可以陪你一起度过；也在你脾气暴躁的时候，舒缓你的心情。他的音乐可让听众细细咀嚼，并能经得起时间的考验。
Transforming from a poor student to a musician with his own project studio now, KCLau is indeed a great example for the DIY (Do It Yourself) artist. At least, he never give up and found his own special way to move further in his music career.
Kite Shepherd is KCLau’s first solo debut. It is fully funded from his own pocket money. In this album, he wrote all the melody and the music arrangement. Some friends help on writing him the lyrics. His music is soothing. It gives you the comfort when you are frustrated. It also eases your feeling when you are upset. His music can endure the test of time. It is simply great!
