Performing with Jewel, Steve Winwood and 10,000 Maniacs within the first year of forming, the fiercely independent Katie Todd Band has burst onto the Chicago music scene. Katie, a singer/songwriter/keyboardist, is backed by a powerful trio, consisting of Travis Dow on guitar, Mark Cameron on drums, and Evan Cantor on the bass. The four of them create a fresh and edgy brand of pop music. 2002 proved to be a pivotal year for the band, releasing
their debut album, "Changing Faces" to much critical acclaim. The Katie Todd Band won the "Big Break" competition in June of 2002, which gave them the opportunity to open for Tonic at Milwaukee's Summerfest, which then opened the door for them to open for Steve Winwood at Milwaukee's 2003 Summerfest, Five For Fighting in 2004, and Pete Yorn in 2005. The Katie Todd Band continues to play regularly around the country, including an opening stint for the Wallflowers in Chicago this past summer. On Dec. 20, 2003, the band released their first live album to enthusiastic audiences. The band regularly sells out legendary Chicago venues such as Schuba's and Double Door. Their compelling stage presence is provoking some of the most powerful live performances to be seen.
2005's Make Some Time For Wasting is the band's dynamite new offering.

A great snapshot of a fun live band!
author: Greg DunnFirst saw Katie opening for another band at Schuba's... This CD brings back fond memories. As good as they are in the studio, they are a don't-miss live experience.

The type of music that the whole country needs to hear. I Feel guilty keeping the KTB's music in the Midwest. Katie's voice is amazing. The band feeds off each other and are simply talented musicians. Catch them live sometime, you will not be disappointed.

I have watched Katie and Her band from its inception. They simply get better and better. I can't wait to hear their new album...I am a bit prejudiced, cuz Katie is my very special and very talented neice!

author: HBJI been listening to KTB since the Changing Faces album came out.....they are really great. I'm really enjoying the live version. My only wish is to see them play in Orlando sometime..... since I don't get to the midwest very often! Also, send your music to XM radio where it will get played !!!

author: Joel FinkleThe KTB Live is an amazing disc. While I'm thrilled with the original "Changing Faces", the live album has some jams and a more relaxed structure to some of the songs. "Brittle" and "Changing Faces" are awesome here, and there's a boat load of new songs: "Leavitt" is the best of the bunch, but "Wonder Woman", "Come to Me" and "Fall In" are significant additions too. My enthusiasm is enhanced a bit by being at the 2003 Summerfest show where part of this was recorded, but this is one disc on constant rotation on my MP3 player.

author: methe katie todd band continues to keep it real with their latest installment, the live album. not only does it give those of you unable to attend the shows a taste of their (wonderful) jam skills, but the live album also incorporates a few new songs that are not found on Changing Faces. the songs that you may think you are familiar with become new entities during a live show, with all members of the group displaying their skills on musical tangents. the live version of 'claustrophobe' is surprising and phenomenal, giving a completely different emotional vibe- one that resonates in hope rather than despair...a treat even if you are not familiar with the original. rock on, ktb!
