notes
Kathy Roush, guitarist, singer, and song writer, was born and raised in Wichita, and started her musical career at the young age of 11. She continued performing locally until 1982 when she moved to the Kansas City area, going to work for The Waldo Astoria Dinner Playhouse as a performer, and later as the singer in a 17 piece Big Band Orchestra. Having traveled to many places throughout the years, Kathy has performed in cities such as L.A., Las Vegas, and Nashville, to name a few. Most recently, Kathy was a member of the regional legends, The Del Reys. She owned Kathy’s Guitar Shop, where she taught guitar (along with jazz great Jerry Hahn), and was a partner in C Major Guitars. Previously having charted in the top 25 indie charts in Europe, this new all-original cd release "Come To Me Now" proves to truly showcase her versatility and seasoned talent. The CD features an all-star cast of fine players including Drake Macy, Rachelle Coba, Marc Westerman, Monty Westerman, Steve McClure (Garth’s band), Rob Loren, Dave Veith, Rick Palsmeier, Dana Hurst, and Darrell Wassinger.
