After a year of breast cancer treatment Katherine Crowe has decided to make the best of life and the music she writes and performs. This album is mostly covers of some of the most beautiful ballads - with two of her own tracks to complete this amazing and simple album. Performed with just Kath and a piano it is stripped back to basics and is haunting, evocative and truly emotional. A beautiful beautiful album.

author: Kathryn KendallPure, clear, gentle voice. She's a younger Judy Collins or Joan Baez, and the simple piano background is a relief from over-production, and my favorite numbers are the ones without her own voice harmonizing on a separate track. Just pure simple beauty, great old songs in a great new voice.
