notes
Kate Hart is an indie-pop/rock singer songwriter from New Jersey. She is heavily influenced by “twee” bands such as Cub, Go Sailor, and Dressy Bessy, as well as pop-punk bands like Chixdiggit, The Mr T Experience and The Unlovables.
The songs on Kate’s first EP, Natural Born Wallflower vary greatly, because about half were written with the angst and pessimism of a 16 year old girl. The other songs were written more recently, with the self-deprecating, but overall positive attitude of a 20-something woman who is, mostly, comfortable and confident with herself and her place in life.
Kate occasionally plays acoustic sets and open mics in the Northern – Central New Jersey area. Scheduled shows are posted at www.myspace.com/khartmusic

Really Good!
author: NickThis album is really really good. If you like indie pop you'll probably fall in love with Kate. Beautiful music.
a Low-fi indie-pop rock gem
author: Lazlo - BlowUpRadio.com"Natural born wallflower, the debut 8 song album from NJ singer/songwriter Kate Hart, is a Low-fi indie-pop rock gem, showcasing catchy and fun lyrics (examples are songs "boys are dumb" and "I kill bugs"), but also contains a very compelling ballad (complete with a surprisingly lush sounding programmed string section), in "attic song". Closing the album is a nice cover of the Cubs song, "New York City". This is a great debut.
