Amazing House, Techno, Trance and Two-Step dance remixes of Karmacoda's second album Evidence featuring tracks by DJ Polywog and Tyler Stone.

notes

You know a band is doing something right when chart-topping international DJs like Polywog and Tyler Stone remix their songs. It's even more impressive when word spreads regarding a new remix compilation, exciting other established and up-and-coming DJs around the world to get involved with the project.

Karmacoda's newest release, "Altered Evidence: Late Night Remixes" is an undeniably groove-centric collection of remixed tracks inspired by songs on their second album, "Evidence". More than just a retelling of what the band has done in the past, "Altered Evidence" is refreshingly different: a hot, danceable departure from their lush trip-hop roots, with most of the tracks initially unrecognizable from their original forms.

What does remain are the intense, unmistakable vocals of Karmacoda singers Heather Pierce and B., which on tracks like DJ Polywog's "If you and I (Where You Sleep)" and Chimerical Child's remix of "All that Depth", stand out with amazing new shine and emotion. Karmacoda's own DJ Rafael also kicks up the vibe, showing off his ingenuity on the beat heavy, "Masta Plan Remix". "Altered Evidence" fluctuates through engaging dance sub-genres like a slick, freedom-filled night out in the city, rising and falling in just the right places.

  • Slither slide and samba
    author: SF Gloss

Funky chill-riffic remixes slither slide and samba – perfect for summer lounging and getting intimate with strangers. My picks: If You and I (by Polywog and Frogger), Das Brennende Brett RMX, Rocket Fuel Remix (by DJ Rafael Acevedo), Your Love (by DJ Amber and Russ Arteaga), My Mind is... Reckless (by Den Jones) and Tyler Stone’s Tragically Hip Mix.

  • Teaching how to fly
    author: Tripofagia

In 2004 Karmacoda released Altered Evidence: Late Night Remixes. Karmacoda's music is a kind of manual about how to create aural atmospheres, where human feelings and sensations are conducted to their highest levels - maybe, paradoxically, too high to be human... If we are not able to fly, Karmacoda teaches us how to simulate that. The splendor is up there, and Karmacoda is a direct high-way toward it. This is an extreme recommendation for every trip-hopper.
