notes

Better Late than Never is my own personal race against the clock....my “what will I have lived for” and “what will I be remembered for when I am no longer here” in body. Better Late Than Never is more than just a collection of songs....it is a personal, concept album of a single woman trying to make it in the world: from realizing the person you should have been with all along was right there all along, to the rights, wrongs, and injustices of personal and business relationships, to finding G-d and realizing that whether I am single or not, the only real truth is in the Creator, and in yourself. In order to be remembered for doing good, you must first do good! Before it is too late, before my “Last call” and they write “Here she Lies”, my quest is not to find what is “Easier”, or merely say I’ve “Been there, Done that”, but I must truly be, well, “Happy (for the first time) and find out what I’m “All About”....but....BETTER LATE THAN NEVER.

I Dedicate this album to two special ladies for whom time ran out too soon:

Erin Holtermann....my beautiful angel dance teacher, who gave me confidence in myself when I had none. Who helped me hold it together through some of the most tumultuous times in my life. Who gave me my start. Your faith and your kindness will stay with me always. Shine on, my angel.

Linda Hill...who may as well have been family....a day does not go by when you are not remembered.

Kama Linden is a fireball of energy, passion, and versatility. This gutsy lyricist catches you (and catches you off guard) with her edgy lyrics and voice (as in her first Hot AC single, WAITING), lulls you in with SMOOTH vocals (Crossed Over), and has you grooving with sultry sounds that are undeniably her own (Uninhibited, Bitter Lemon), which when performed live, have gathered many a crowd at various festivals (Halstead St. Market Days, Si Ferry Festival, The Rose Festival, Sunbury Festival). She spent the last three years touring the country in support of her first release, UNINHIBITED 2006: a mix of POP/Rock and some urban/dance mixes which keeps the listener both interested and entertained. Whether it be an acoustic show, dance remixes at a club or street fair (and boy can she dance) or full band, She’s sure to knock ‘em dead for she holds nothing back She just returned from performing in AMSTERDAM and her third California tour. Her second album, BETTER LATE THAN NEVER is set to release late JUNE 2008 under MOHICAN RECORDS. A step above her first album, BETTER LATE THAN NEVER will truly show her full range as an artist!

The way Kama easily opens up her stories (which are somewhere between a whisper and a scream), is magnetic. Pain and pleasure are woven into songs like "Bitter Lemon," and "Young and Pretty." The way she can phrase a song feels like a gentle kiss or a punch in the face. Either is intoxicating.---Phil Painone, Jersey Beat

"From the outset, one can see that this is a songstress who is more than willing (and capable) of wearing her heart on her sleeve. With that sultry, foxy voice the listener is immediately drawn into Kama's world of personal relationships. This is high emotion at its best with the voice and musicianship to go with it. Whatever one's gender, I can guarantee that you'll be able to relate to at least one of these 15 numbers. "------Tony Bates, Highlands 100.7FM

"Great, personal, tasteful album. I really enjoyed interviewing you on Twirl, and visiting with you in Sacramento, back in October. You keep on rockin!"----Mike Lidskin, Twirl Radio, CA

"Fantastic Album. Great stuff for our Radio Station."--- Alex Pijnen, BRTO Radio

"I received your cd is very very good and now is in airplay on my radio show"-- Maurizio Benvenuti, Radio Incontro, Italy.

"Very enjoyable... what more can I say!"----Graham Lewis, North Norfolk Radio

"Thanks for an excellent CD."----Lilli, Artsound 92.7 FM, Australia

"There are some fantastic songs here, Kama has a voice that stands out...”Stuart Hamilton, the Rocker

“This is high emotion at its best with the voice and musicianship to go with it...” Tony Bates, Highlands FM
