I am Kalyani, and Ive written my fair share of juicy, cathartic songs about addictions, lust, betrayal and repentance. Now I ask, is this what I want to share?
My 3rd cd OMACHI is about waking up, coming home and dissolving barriors. Bridging diverse forms of mysticism through eclectic instrumentation and progressive lyrics.
The biggest island of Hawaii drew me in with an undeniable pull. They say jump and a net will appear... Early on wise travelors told me water is love, gentle, strong and persistent. So I jumped in again and again into these arms,renewing trust and connection with all my relations.
Through channels of grace and deep listening
we find our voice.

Mysha Caruso (www.myshacaruso.com) contributes generously his gifts, lending hot bass lines and a Celtic touch to reveal my own bloodline and evoke the green fairy hills of enchantment where we live and did our recording at his Kohala mountain studio. Stuart Oliver of Feta and Shiraz

We ask the Divine for messages in our life, am I doing the right thing, give me a sighn! Listen closely to the lyrics, the message's in this album will remind you..."this is real, this is no fantasy, for in love we are in unison," and that we are "always awakening...", it's like getting a clear message from your guardian angel! I use this album to remind me of who I am, it always uplifts my spirit and brings me back to a space of love and creativity. I can not think of any other artist who's lyrics have inspirired my life as Kalyani has done in Omachi. Thank you Kalyani!
