notes

Kaley was born December 10, 1985, in Bladenboro, NC. Her growing love of music, and her desire to perform, inspired her to embark on vocal training and later to compete in local talent competitions and beauty pageants. After winning the titles of “Little Miss” and “Junior Miss,” Bladen County, NC, she was invited to entertain in state festivals and pageants.  Those early performances set in motion the realization of her dream of becoming an entertainer.

While vacationing with her family in Orlando, FL, she attended an audition sponsored by a local talent agency.  After being offered a management contract, fourteen-year-old Kaley and her family were advised to relocate to Orlando, FL, to pursue her dream.  In August of 2000, while her father Alexander remained in North Carolina to manage the family business, Kaley and her mother India moved 500 miles south to Orlando.  Moving from a small town with one traffic light, to a large city like Orlando was very exciting. This also meant Kaley had to move away from her family, church, childhood friends, and life as she knew it.  It was a big adjustment for her, but a challenge she embraced with open arms to make her dream a reality.  Kaley worked hard taking vocal lessons and rehearsing daily while continuing her education. This hard work and determination paid off when she signed a recording contract with Phurst Degree Records in May of 2001.

Kaley and her producers spent weeks reviewing potential songs for her upcoming album. After deciding on the eleven songs that were best suitable for the album, “All I Ever Wanted,” it was on to the recording studio. Joe Smith, Kaleys' recording engineer and producer made the decision to use the world renown Sound Kitchen studios in Nashville Tennessee. Vocal producers assisting in the recording included Mark Goff (from ABC' “Making the Band”) and Shawn Fisher.

Now with the album complete and first single released in Europe, sixteen-year-old Kaley is ready for the next step in her journey.
