Cicadas & Sunflowers was made partly in Salt Spring Island in British Columbia a few days before Kak went to tree planting camp! Time ran short then and the recording was completed a year later at her home near Zion Nat'l Park, Utah with the collaboration of her musician friends in the peaceful setting of her secluded backwoods home.
