notes
All four tracks on Skyscraper are written, performed and produced entirely by Kah.
Kah grew up in that hot-bed of English culture that is Chatham in Kent. She had an intense musical education touring with choirs in Eastern Europe, followed by a few years sepnt singing jazz in bars in Scotland.
She has recently provided her distinctive layers of backing vocals for Brighton based acoustic band Palm Springs.
Now writing and recording from her bedroom in Canterbury, this is her debut recording.
"A beautifully crafted EP that delivers complex melodies and production techniques. The standout track is 'Wanting to be Haunted', which uses harpsichord, breakbeats and a dubbed-out bassline, polished off with seductive, floaty vocals. A joyous sound." Arash Torabi, Out of Hand magazine
"Nicely different tracks that you'd find it hard to compare to anything else. Lovely atmosphere .. really gets under the listener's skin" Future Music
"Sensuous works of fragility and vulnerability with a vocal timbre that seems to gently and pleasureably lick the inside of your ear." Konrad Kinard, incineratemedia

something very special
author: wimOnly a few times each year I get a cd and just go with the flow No analysing comparing or such This is the first this year 4 songs only but is quality that counts If you like your music to touch you in unexpected ways and aren't afraid to go beyond the traditional ways of instrument settings And for those who buy on comparising Annette Peacock meets Lamb (The Lou Rhodes one)
