This tribute album honors the life and artistry of Yafeu Fula pka KADAFI who performed and recorded with Tupac Amaru Shakur and the Outlawz before his murder in November 1996. Kadafi, who was known as the soul and spirit of the Outlawz performed on many of Tupac's early works including the multi-platinum album "Me Against the World". In 1995 and 1996 Kadafi wrote and performed with Tupac on his multi-platinum albums "All Eyez On Me" and "Makaveli".

The release of "Son Rize Volume I", a long overdue tribute album to Kadafi has been called a masterpiece by his fans (see comments from fans at www.hitemup.com and www.ebay.com). This album contains all of Kadafi at his best, including unreleased Kadafi /Tupac tracks and unreleased Kadafi freestyles. The album is produced by Donny Rizzo a multi-talented producer and artist with Kadafi family as Executive Producers.

With a global following this posthumous tribute album honors the legacy of Kadafi and his family, well known and respected leaders in the civil rights movement in the U.S. in the 1960's and 1970's. His father, Sekou Odinga, is a political prisoner for 24 years in U.S. prison can be heard in the Son Rize Intro speaking from Algiers in 1971. His uncle Mutulu Shakur, incarcerated political prisoner for 24 years, delivers a powerful tribute to the young man he knew from birth. Furthering the legacy of resistance Kadafi inherited this historical album includes spoken word from Malcolm X, Eldridge Cleaver, Fannie Lou Hamer, H. Rap Brown, Stokley Carmichael, James Baldwin, Gil Scott Heron, and Vivian Smith (Yafeu's grandmother).

A strong and charismatic rapper and artist Kadafi was known for his lyrical prowess and his uncompromising loyalty. A soldier to the end we honor his life in this tribute album In the words of his children which can be heard throughout Son Rize - "Kadafi Lives On". Listen Up, we promise you will proudly add this to your Tupac/Kadafi collection.

All proceeds from this album will go to Kadafis' two children and to eliminate weapons of mass destruction in our communities, fight illiteracy, and to promote peace and justice in the world through education. Of course we hope to produce the next collectors item - Son Rize Volume 2.

    An excellent tribute album which I couldn't wait to listen to, like others I'd also wanted to own a cd solely by Kadafi and this mixtape didn't disappoint. The lyrics are brilliant and show true talent that Kadafi possessed, teamed with 2pac and the Outlawz its a hit. I can't stop listening to this cd with so many great tracks you will hit repeat again and again. A must buy for all Kadafi, 2pac and Outlawz fans. Produced with class! Great tracks from the irreplaceable yak and pac.

    I have to admit that it's hard to believe that the contents are over ten years old, and it's still fresh!! So many rappers out there are polluting the rap game with crap ass albums produced by big companies, and still none of them even come close to the majestic flows contained in this album.. I've been owning this mixtape since 2004 and I'm still bumping it like I got it yesterday! Get this album ya'll, I guarantee you won't regret it...

    Killing Fields O.G. is like listenin to the whole Kadafi/tupac legacy. Its so memorable that you might cry just hearing their voices again. Kadafi and 2pac obvious have lyrics and flows to another level so there's no question about this being a lackluster effort. You can feel the true westcoast vibe on this.
