Like looking in a crooked mirror with rose colored glasses. Strange yet completely relatable songs that mix an indie spirit with hummable melodies.

notes
Austin singer/songwriter Kacy Crowley is back with her third independent release, Cave. Produced by Billy Harvey (Steve Poltz, Bob Schneider), Cave is an intimate yet complex collection of songs that feels more like a first record than a third. With guest spots from Kevin Lovejoy and The Tosca String Quartet, this is a breathier, less rebellious Kacy. Still, there is a sense of humor and an occasional eyebrow raising in the lyrics. The release of this cd follows a two year period of personal hardship and yet doesn't have the usual anger or bitterness of a breakup album. The songs are more like finding your favorite things in a pile of aftermath.. a little sad, a little sweet....

I Love It!!!
author: Janice Marie FooteThis gem of an album is beautiful, emotive and more than worth all the efforts to get it into your music collection as a permanent installment. Her and Billy made musical magic here on Cave!
cave
author: Michael PollardAnother impressive release - highly recommended to anyone who simply likes good music.
Cave
author: Robin HayesI've been a fan of Kacy's work since 1997 and her release of Anchorless. As a fan, I've gobbled up everything she's released. I feel this album is her best yet. It's emotional, raw and real. I love where her maturity as an artist is going. Can not recommend this enough.
No Pollyanna
author: Patrick MooreWhat I appreciate about Kacy's music is that she delivers songs that grab you in your dark spots and say to you, "you're not alone." "Cave" does just that. There is no pollyanna hope, rather Kacy gives us hope that only comes when crawling out of the dark places. The hope that seeps slowly like honey out of the comb.
wonderful but not simple
author: Thomas J. McGrathThis is a tremendous work. The songwriting is fascinating, tells you some, but not too much, the voice is evocative, the result is, I guess as Kacy was once quoted , her music sounds like her friggin heart, buy this now, and one for a friend, Kacy is a treasure.
