As a bass player always looking for work, I received a call to play a handful of gigs with an up-and-coming Virginia singer/songwriter, so, I accepted the job as I would any other. When I met and played with Justin Jones, however, I realized I had stumbled upon something special. As a person, he's incomparable. He's a walking contradiction: vulgar yet profound, loud yet pensive, a jerk yet the best friend you could ever hope to have. He possesses a magnetic personality and more importantly, I quickly realized that Justin was not just a typical songwriter.
His songs stand up and demand to be heard. They are tales of heartbreak and addiction, joyful poems, anthems unintended for the stadium but for the lonely bedroom. Having suffered abandonment, addiction, and loss, thirty seconds of one of Justin's songs has more soul than an entire hour's worth of radio-friendly monotony. He's a soulful singer with both his harmonica and voice-I hope to see his music make it to the masses for their sake and not just his own.

author: nikkithis cd is soo fuking awesome!!!! i love it soo much!! the words all express the fukd up relationships i myself have been through, and the ups and downs of abuse, life in general. I personally have let every-1 i kno listen to the live copy i hav and every-1 wants to burn it, so i just give them this website address and tell them to SUPPORT HIS ASS if they love it soo much!!! hope it helps u out dude!! i'M be looking forward to seeing him all over the u.s. we all know its going to happen because JUSTIN IS TOO DAMN GOOD!!!!

The CD Baby people got it to me quickly and with awesome service - I will definately be recommending Justin Jones AND CD Baby to all my friends, and looking for this amazing voice in Seattle!

author: BradI think this cd is full of killer songs but the sound didn`t do them justice. It sounds good for a demo recorded on a little four track but not for something that came out of a studio. I love this guy`s style and voice. I`m just being really picky.
Very Impressive
author: MyklstarrI just saw Justin Jones perform tonight in DC. His CD was available to buy at the venue. I listened to it on the way home and again when I got home. Now, after the third listen, I find this cd nothing short of spectacular. Although it wasn't my intention to be impressed by someone new so suddenley, it has happened again. Good buy for $10.00.

author: gregListening to this cd by justin, you get the feeling that there is more of us out there these days. Just when you've given up on todays youth and music, along comes justin. I was given the cd by a friend of justin's from virginia. we listened, he gave me the background on justin, and i just sat there. not a word. I think the first things i did say after listening was "fuckin' brilliant!". since that first night i listened, i have copied and gave "Blue dreams" to numerous people and the general response is similiar to my initial feeling about justin's music. Since then, i had the pleasure of chilling with justin for a few days. I saw him play in Gainsville, fl for a few nights, surrounded by friends and beers. And lemme tell you, he's just as good, if not better live. His songs are as real and full of life as he is. he's not a bad skater either. just gotta get him out surfing one of these days. Buy this cd. you won't regret it. with all this bullshit music out these days, justin jones is a breath of fresh air.
