notes
Fun for Fairies is an album about fairies getting to have fun by experiencing human emotions. Many of the songs cover fairy-themes or else are about fairies in disguise. For example, a "poleman" (from the song "Poleman") is a fairy who guides people from one dimension to the next, when those dimensions happen to be separated by a river. These poleman fairies travel in canoes & use a long stick as a paddle. The word poleman, of course, can also be used colloquially to refer to anyone who feels as lonely as a poleman fairy. The song Sandalphone is about Sandalphone, the great arch-angel who is the governor of all planes of earth. He adopts all fairy orphans & raises them as his own.
I feel confident that if you listen closely to the songs, you will agree with me that "Fun for Fairies" is the most perfect title I could have chosen.
Sincerely, Julien
