Shipe cut his songwriting teeth on country/folk/blues--styles that never fit in with the alternative rockster-ism he later grew into. But loyal fans of his solo performances demanded something acoustic. The addition of a handful of new charmers completed the SONG CLEARANCE and earned him an unexpected welcome in the folk circles. Also here are acoustic versions of popular un-released songs from his successful, signed 90's band, The Renegade Saints (co-written by members of that band.)

John Shipe Song Clearance
author: BeckyI purchased this CD specifically for the Pit Bull Blues song. He managed to capture exactly how it feels for the average "non-thug" pit bull owner in America today. My dog and I absolutely loved the witty lyrics and the rest of the CD was very well done as well.
