The recipe for great country music: You mix two powerful guitars, one heaping amount of bass, killer drums, two levels of keyboards, a classic pedal steel guitar, and five part harmony and what do you get?
J.R. BOOKER.
What makes this group different is that they are all accomplished musicians and vocalists. In total, they play 12 instruments, and have over 80 years of musical experience between them. Their influences range from The Beatles to Brooks and Dunn, and from Stevie Wonder to the Sons of the Pioneers. Their former bands and experience include Blue Grass, Top 40, Jazz, Classic Rock, Blues, and now they have returned to their first love - Country.
Individually, they have performed throughout the United States, and have had their songs played on local radio stations. As a group, they now perform regularly at clubs in the Washington, DC-Maryland area. They have also written commercials, jingles, spoofs, and Country songs. In short, these are not just six guys that got together and decided to "try their hand" at Country. They are versatile, they are professional, and they are awesome.
Their repertoire includes the Classics: The Gatlin Brothers, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, George Jones, Willie Nelson, Sons of the Pioneers, and Hank Williams, Jr.; and today's artists: Alabama, Garth Brooks, Brooks and Dunn, Clay Davidson, Diamond Rio, Allan Jackson, Toby Keith, John Michael Montgomery, George Strait, and Travis Tritt, just to name a few.

author: katiok i am semi-biased because the song kati was written about me and my dad but i love j.r booker. all the songs are wonderful. I love all the guys in the group and their singing is great.

These guys are some of the most talented musicians and singers that ever was and together they have become a musical sensation. This CD is wonderfully put together, the songs are their own and it definitely shows off their talents. I have it and play it often, will need a new one soon! If you can hit a show of theirs, pick up the CD and get the guys to autograph it, they will be more then happy to do so. I can not wait till their next album is done! I adore these guys!!
