author: niloushkaAs a Tchaikovsky lover, raised by Russian mother, I can openly say that Plumeri conducted these symphonies as the master himself intended them. Plumeri has exposed his affinity with Tchaikovsky; What a sublime gift. niloushka kashlinov

IF you love Tchaikovsky, and even if you have heard his symphonies numerous times, these recordings rival anything previous. And though this orchestra no doubt knows the composer inside out, Plumeri as the conductor has managed to go deeper and reveal moments that will make you want to listen over and over. A great gift to Tchaikovsky lovers.
Very Possibly the most beautiful recording of the Late Symphonies of Tchaikovsky
author: Arthur J.After having this CD for a few weeks, and having listened to it a number of times with great appreciation, I realized what has taken hold of me in a very compelling way. No other recording that I know of, and I am very familiar with well over 10 of the known versions of these works, equals the beauty found on this CD of the expressiveness of the melodies of Tchiakovsky. The team of Plumeri and the Moscow Philharmonic has achieved such an elegant flow in time, the listener is left floating, feet off the ground, as they experience this exquisite and at times breathless vocalization of the melodies of Tchaikovsky. This is true beauty which must be heard!
There’s an awful lot to enjoy about these readings
author: Fanfare MagazineThere’s an awful lot to enjoy about these readings. They are well within the interpretive consensus, and yet they do not sound dull or predictable. Hearing Plumeri’s Tchaikovsky is like stepping into a favorite room after the carpet has been vacuumed, the furniture has been dusted, and all the knick-knacks have been put into place. There’s familiarity, and a welcoming comfort. With its warmth and detail, the engineering is quite wonderful too.
Captures your interest and holds you throughout.
author: David G.Plumeri's version of the 4th,5th, and 6th are truly captivating. One is held carefully in the hands of a conductor and orchestra who love this music more than can be described. Tchaikovsky is alive and breathing his heart and soul into the listener on these tremendous CD's. Do spend time with them and you'll be the better for it. Thank you Mr. Plumeri. Superb renditions.

This carefully paced and lucidly executed rendering is aurally revelatory!
author: Fanfare Magazine“Plumeri approaches Tchaikovsky as if it were just as newly minted as his own work. And for those of us who have taken these works for granted and not even actually “listened” to them for many years, this carefully paced and lucidly executed rendering is aurally revelatory! And since this orchestra can no doubt perform this music in their collective sleep, they deliver a truly effortless and naturally breathing reading that is genuinely affecting.”
