Joy Cuming is a songwriter, singer and guitarist, living on the outermost reaches of Cape Cod in Massachusetts. She was born in New England but spent her formative years 15,000 miles away on the continent of Australia, before settling on Cape Cod. Joy has been writing and performing her own songs for over twenty years, throughout the United States, across Australia and in Europe. A gifted musician with a transcendent vocal ability, this singer, sailor, songwriter and architect is finally releasing her first solo album, Lucky Child.
The music is expansive and uplifting, drawing on a number of musical genres and exploring personal experiences that we can all identify with. Joy's vocals and acoustic guitar are featured throughout but each track has its own unique blend of instrumentation including saxophone, electric guitar,keyboards,drums and percussion, bass guitar, flute, violin and accordian and backing vocals.

Beautiful CD with "My Father's House" showcasing Joy's talent as a poet, architect, and singer/songwriter. She builds each song, layering story and melody, with honesty and warmth inviting you to join her on the journey.
