notes
The first Joy Circuit album was recorded in 1987 and released as "A Crystal Clear Christmas" on the Modern Art label. When that label folded, the rights reverted to the group, and to Jenkins-Peabody.
Joy (Circuit) to the World was a bit of a milestone event, the first nationally-released album created within a sequencing program and recorded directly to a CD master without any analog tape being used along the way. This was considered a bit radical for its time, but is commonplace today--for better or worse.
Historical considerations aside, it's a quite jolly album of fresh takes on seasonal material and seasonal takes on fresh material, and the many who've acquired it over the years tell us that it remains their favorite holiday party soundtrack.
The Joy Circuit features the keyboard team from the Neil Diamond band, Alan Lindgren and Tom Hensley, along with veteran LA musician/composer Larry Brown.
