notes
21 excellent tunes played by fiddler Rhys Jones, with Jim Nelson on guitar and Jeff Miller on banjo or mandolin. Lovely versions of INDIAN SQUAW, BLUE GOOSE, CHARLESTON # 2, LITTLE BLACK MUSTACHE, ONE EYED RILEY, the title tune and perhaps the neatest version of CHICKEN REEL that this listener has ever heard. Several of the best tunes were learned from the legendary Ed Haley. Every cut is fine—this is highly recommended (no vocals). (County Sales Newsletter)
