notes
US album "Me And Joanna" was released FEB 2007.
The first single will "Horses" entered the US FMQB chart in January . Critics and Radio programmers are loving it.
Greg is set to go on a world tour with Tori Amos in the summer.
"Dreamy but vital to the core, Greg Johnson's music never fails to elevate one's senses. He has that rare ability to encapsulate universal emotions in a single phrase or two. There seems to be no limit to his reach or his talent.''
~Steve Morse, radio host on WBOS-FM and longtime Boston Globe music reviewer
"Greg Johnson's lyrics and musicianship are a true reflection of the upbeat take on the life experience he possesses and conveys so re-freshingly to the ears. His song stylings command your attention, speaking to the heart and mind, as well as the pop music lover in us all...and to see him and his band live is a must! Following early support of his Here Comes The Caviar album, Greg was most kind, gracing us with a live performance for our WBCG Concert Cafe Series here in Southwest Florida, making him many new fans in the area. Listeners continue to request his songs on The Beach 98.9 and ask when he'll be back. Now that Greg has conquered his home of New Zealand, I'd say the rest of the world is his."
~G. Michael Keating Program Director Southwest Florida's Adult Alternative WBCG The Beach 98point9
"Greg's amazing ability to write catchy songs makes him a programmers dream come true. His songs have a simple recipe, just add air-play and watch the phones light up!!"
~Beau Gunn, Program Director, WUIN Wilmington NC
Greg's show in Glen Allen Virginia last month was interrupted by a tornado warning from the local Sheriff… luckily Greg has plenty of tunes with weather references and the show continued without having to run for the basement. Thanks to those who turned out despite the conditions!
The dream run at radio in NZ finally concluded after 16 weeks at #1 on Hot AC!!! Second single is "Maybe your true love" will should hit radio before Spring.
"Save Yourself" from the previous album is to appear on a charity CD WBOS Studio 7 Live From The Archives, Volume IV with all proceeds to Don Henley's Walden Woods Project.
Two tunes "Venom" and "Now The Sun Is Out" are featured in the upcoming black comedy movie "50 Pills" starring Kristen Bell and John Hensley. Release is early 2007.
Greg appears in the new NZ Bank Direct TV ads playing his tune "If You Think It's Over" on a black grand piano. The song is available on the "Caviar" album.
