    First time I heard Joe Purdy was in a tv-program I think, and I fell in love with the song "Can't get it right today". After that I started to explore Joe Purdy and now I bought his first album and I can't even say in words how much the album means to me. I am having a hard time in my life now, my love has left me, that among with other things, and this album has helped me a lot. Thank you Joe Purdy for making life easier to live.

    Incredible cd. Heard a song of his on a Kia commercial but was unable to buy the album You Can Tell Georgia due to stock unavailability. I was extremely surprised after ordering this album instead about how well put together it was and the fact that I can just play the album all the way through without having to remember track numbers to switch to. Every single song on this album is amazing. Instantly I have become a Joe Purdy fan and am telling everyone. Lately I have had some trouble finding some new good music, but thanks to CD Baby and Joe I have come out of my lack of new music rut!

    An unbelievable cd! As if I couldn't have fallen even more in love with Joe's music after Julie Blue, this one sealed the deal. His simple songwriting and his painfully genuine voice and lyrics will simply melt your heart. Sometimes jubilant and sometimes sorrowful, it's got an amazing range of songs (my personal faves: Isn't Love, Lovers Side of Town, and Mary May & Bobby). Buy it and you'll fall in love at first listen...

    Most people are unaware of Joe Purdy's first two albums, mainly because they have been unavailable to buy anywhere. Especially since the emergence of Joe Purdy to 'kind-of' mainstream since his song Wash Away, from Julie Blue, was used in great contest on the TV show Lost. I own all of Joe's albums and would give all of them 5 stars, because they are all wonderful and he has become my favourite artist due to the fact he never fails to deliver. I purchase Julie Blue and Stompingrounds and loved them but over-playing made me yearn for new material from Joe and after searching around I found the two other CD's. Self Entitled Joe Purdy and Sessions from Motor Ave... I would just like to say that this album blew me away... every song a winner... and not just because they are listenable too, they are absolute classics. The album cracks off with Isn't Love, which is a great tune, really sets the tone of the whole album. Joe quickly moves on to 'This Town' which is very Tracy Chapman-ish 'fast car' style, so again, you'll love it! My personal favourite is 'Put me in my place', if you can find it too listen too, listen and hopefully you'll understand!?!?! Get this album or at least go to Joe's website where you can listen to these albums!!! 10 ON 10!!!
