They say, if your town has the same number of bars as churches, you're probably in Iowa. I just counted, and it's true. So, are Iowans just all liquored-up holy rollers or simple, grounded, good people? I'd say Iowa is salt of the earth with a beer back.
"Quarter Moon View" is all Iowa. Songs about: sitting in outhouses; trashing classic rock dinosaurs, dirt and paved roads (we do have both kinds here), fishing, dogs, crystal meth, and drinking & driving. And, it features a fine all-Iowa roster, including: Mr Babers Neighbors, BeJae Fleming, Patrick Bloom, members of Brother Trucker, and more.
There's a little roots rock, some bluegrass, acoustic guitars and tons of tremelo.
