Ever since she was nine years old and started playing the organ, Joyce would sit next to her fathers hi fi system and intently discern the sound of individual instruments. Later in her young adult life, the inspiring words heard in the pew formed a belief to spread hope, faith and love.
"As an actress in theatre in the early 80's, I bought an old piano for $80 and started writing songs to tell my story. My lyrics were inspired though my everyday life experiences".
Joyce had a life time dream of producing an album of orchestral music. By 1999 Joyce had written about 30 songs. Ron, Joyce's husband and confidante, said Joyce you have to record A New Day. She came to Tempel Recording Studio to record the piano version. After finding out what a modern studio could do, she selected the best and wrote additional parts for all of her songs heard on this album. By 2003, after four years of arranging and recording, the project was complete and ready to sell.
