notes

Born in Lufkin, TX in 1978, at one week old J-KID was adopted and moved to Los Angeles. From there he had short stays in Alberquerque, back to Lufkin and finally to Dallas where his family settled in 1986. This became the home where J-KID would discover and develop his love for Hip Hop music. Growing up listening to some of the greatest MCs , J-KID developed a passion for lyriscm, and learned to love it as a voice for himself. After many failed attempts at several colleges, J-KID began his music career in Austin in 2002, then later that year moved back to Dallas where he began recording Primary Coulors. In August of 2005, J-KID was handed a flyer for a Neva Dug Disco event, which he attended and proceeded to rock the open mic freestyle. He has since battled some of the metroplex's best MCs at Monday Night Fights and continues to rock shows in Dallas, Denton and even Waco. He has been working hard with the Neva Dug Disco crew to promote and bring Dallas Hip Hop to a whole nother level. Recently finishing up his sophomore album 2ndAry Thoughts, which will be availble shortly, the future is looking bright for this abstract poet and the whole Neva Dug Disco crew.

  • Wow

This ish is emaculate lyrically and musically. Some of the sickest wordplay I've heard in years. J-KID be reppin the DFW and worldwide. Good lookin out. Hit me up when you in Philly.

  • Outta this World
    author: Solomons Fist

Time Space Elements is a breath of fresh air. With mad lyrical word play and original instrumentation, J-KID is definitly a hip hop and musical pioneer. Can't wait for future releases from J-KID.

  • Real Innovative Hip Hop
    author: Dig Derange

This album has it all. Innovative beats, real instrumentalism. This is not your run of the mill hip hop, this is the future. This where hip hop was heading in the mid to late 90s before the corporate machine reared its head and sought to destroy real hip hop. This album is solid all the way through. If you don't buy the album, at least go to iTunes and download a few songs. Bump This Beat, We Maintain, Don't Fret, and Don't Gamble Ur Life are sure fire bets. Peace
