notes
Jitterbug Thompson doesn't belong.
Born too far south of Chicago to be considered a Yankee but too far north of Tennessee to be a true southerner, founder Caleb Sweazy brought this everywhere and nowhere sensibility to Los Angeles with Jitterbug Thompson, a sound that manifests a dirty, sexy roots-blues-jazz-rock vibe while cleverly defying classification.
Upright bassist and California girl by way of the UK, Victoria brings her adopted homestate's flair for fusion to blend with Sweazy's sly vocals. This livewire duo creates a sound comfortably at home everywhere and in between, Jitterbug Thompson is making somebody's toes tap somewhere right now.

Buy This!
author: noballNo music collection is complete without some original tunes as sweet as this disc. Definitely going to keep track of Caleb Sweazy from now on.
perfect in every way
author: JinjuI just heard "Fool" on pandora.com, and I had to find out more about this artist. After listening to the rest of their songs, I think I've found a new favorite musician. So has the rest of my family!
highly original
author: Oldrik ScholzEverybody I played these songs to liked them from the start. Highly original tunes, excellent slightly rough sound - love it!
really enjoying this
author: MZHeard the song 442 on NPR car talk and searched for a year to be able to find this CD. I bought it for my husband for his birthday and he listens to it all the time on his drive to and from work. We love this music and really enjoy this CD
Excellent stuff
author: Keith RiddellGreat music with a fantastic raw production. Here's hoping we hear more soon.
haven't loved a new recording so much since John Prine's first
author: towandaI haven't loved a new recording so much since I heard John Prine's first recording in 1971 (probably about time the founder of Jitterbug Thompson was born). I hope this group has as much success and fun playing music as Mr. Prine does. towanda
Great sound, lot of heart, great lyrics/vocals
author: NateI really like the overall variety of sound on the album and the lyrics are real solid such as "they say perfection is a dream, well i must've been asleep for days." Has some real nice highs and lows. Definitely worth the $8 at cdbaby.com
