The long awaited cd featuring Jeff Grand as the Bandleader for the first time, "Therapy" is a mix of traditional blues and blues-rock music that will appeal to all ages. Jeff is a talented song writer and as a guitarist he has few equals. Jimmy McCarty has played alongside Jeff in several bands, and he does a guest spot on this disc along with many other Detroit notables including Martin Gross, Chris Rumel, and Eddie Harsch.

Excellent
author: Paul KI love all kinds of music, and it hurts to see the state that the music industry is in. It seems it is no longer about music, but a product or service. That is why it’s so refreshing to see someone like Jeff Grand develop a CD. You can tell he spent a lot of time and really truly enjoyed creating this CD. That alone should earn it 5 stars. But there is more to why I am giving it 5 stars- His songs are actually good! Some of them are great! I really love “Don’t Get Lost in the Wind.” I could be having the worst day but listening to that song will somehow lift my spirits and make everything good again. I can’t wait for the summer so I can cruise with the windows down and listen to it. “24 Hours” is almost the complete opposite on the emotion scale- It’s a true blues song, complete with heavy guitar and deep lyrics. I ONLY have two negative points on this CD, and I am really nit picking here: -The lyrics are excellent and I wish I had a pamphlet of them. -Even though the sound quality isn’t bad in the least, I wish it was better in some tracks. It needs to be a pinch clearer but you would run into problems because of the heavy bass and such. There were just some songs that I wish I could have heard a bit more detail in- like “We Get Down.” Again, that was ABSOLOUTLEY NITPICKING and does not in anyway detract from the listening experience. This isn’t a mass produced CD, and I think slight imperfections make it all the more enjoyable by giving it character. In short, Jeff Grand uses a wide range of styles in this CD to accent and amplify the wide range of emotions this CD can generate. I don’t write reviews for just anyone, just those who deserve it. That should say something. If you like the blues, or just plain into good music, then the 12 or so bucks this CD costs should be a moot point. Buy it and be happy. Thanks Jeff for making a great CD. Looking forward to the next one.
