This ain't yo' Mama's Country anymore! Jewels Hanson is your typical single, red-blooded, American female... and PROUD of it. She likes boys, whiskey, motorcycles and Honky-Tonks. Historically, female country artists have spent their time singing about love, marriage, and the "perfect" life behind the white picket fence. Frankly, that's a little bit too much reality for a rowdy cowgirl like Jewels. Entertaining crowds nightly at a world famous Honky Tonk has shown Jewels that the people she relates to (and relate to her music) are the ones who are out for a good time on a Friday night. Pioneering the female fight for drinkin' songs and barroom brawls, Jewels sings affectionately about the "man" in her life (Jack Daniels), and Billy Bob the nipple ringed cowboy. Mr. Right isn't on the agenda, but Mr. Right now sure does look good in those Wranglers. She's been called "Travis with Tits", "Hank Jr.-ette", and "Toby's Twin" by fans on a nightly basis. Spontaneity is her friend, and ya'll never know what she is going to do next... which is 99% of the fun. Jewels prides herself on giving the "Big Boys" a run for their money, and doesn't rest until every last fan is having a good time. This ain't yo' Mama's Country. It sure ain't yo' daddy's country. It's a NEW Country. And if you think you've seen it all, you ain't seen nothin' yet. You can bet your whiskey, there ain't nothin' like Jewels.

Jewels is AWESOM
author: Derris PowellMy wife and I were visiting Nashville and dropped by Crossroads and she was performing. She had the place rocking. I bought her CD while there and we listened to it several times on the way home to Mississippi. Great CD!! I will plan on visiting her again soon!

author: NC FanI loved the cd!! It has been awhile since I've bought a cd where all the songs were really good; instead of one or two! And the cool thing was when I read she wrote most of them herself!! Me and my husband took some friends to TN and saw her sing at Crossroads! What a great time! Her music was the life of the place!!!

I don't often buy cd's because you generally end up with only one or two good songs but Jewels voice really comes through and makes all of this cd worth listening to again and again! Easily the best 15 bucks Iv'e spent on a cd in a long time. I absolutely love the songs: Be a lady and Mudflap girl!

author: ncfan10 songs on this cd and nine of them are really good. i find it more of a rock cd with a little country in it. to me jewls sounds a lot like gretchen wilson.
Future Nashville Star
author: ChrisJewels Hanson's CD is excellent. John Rich told her on Nashville Star that he didn't believe her performance, but there is nothing unbelievable about the CD. Jewels sings every line with conviction and passion. Jewels may have been booted out of the contest, but there is no doubt that she is a future Nashville Star.

author: JaimeI bought "Be a Lady" because I loved the song, "Luckiest Girl...", after hearing it live, but the whole album is great. This is definitely not one of those CD's where only a couple of songs are good. Awesome job. This CD will not come out of my changer anytime soon.

author: Samantha SheldonJewels Hanson's "Be A Lady" is no typical country music CD. The lyrics are deep and haunting. There is no doubting the musical talent of this woman. This CD is remarkable. I don't normally like country music, but this is not your average country singer. I can feel the emotion in each and every song. There is a very real and deep feeling in each of the songs. All I have is one question: When is the next album coming out!?
