notes

Never a stranger to adventure, Jerrytown stands poised to emerge from the ever-growing pool of musical talent. With their upcoming album release entitled Way Out Waiting, Jerrytown hopes to position itself as a dark horse in the roots rock alternative genre. Jerrytown intends to catch the eye of industry leaders and take their music to the next level through well-played, solid writing and production. Jerrytown feels that with the right amount of guidance and coaching, they could break beyond the noise and scramble onto the national stage.

In pursuit of this goal, Jerrytown took Way Out Waiting to June Audio to be produced and Precision Mastering in LA for final touches. Tom Baker, hot off mastering Alien Ant Farm and Fuel's latest albums, duplicated his talent with Jerrytown to produce a polished album. It didn't take long before Way Out Waiting starting making an impression on industry leaders even with its small production budget. Bob Ezrin, producer of hit albums for Alice Cooper, Kiss and Pink Floyd, commented, "I feel that you did an amazing job working on your own and for the tiny amount of money that you spent." Jerrytown looks forward to pursuit of its goal along with the work and time it entails. Dustin Christensen, singer/songwriter for Jerrytown and self-taught artist, started playing keyboards at the tender age of two.

Dustin wrote his first song at age six. At age 14, Dustin began singing publicly along with picking up the guitar and adding it to his proficiencies. After enjoying success opening for local crowds on his keyboard, Dustin along with long-time friend and bassist Clarke Jackman started Jerrytown in 1996. Jerrytown released their first demo CD in 1998 and began headlining local shows. During the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Jerrytown was pleased to be selected as one of the artists to play in Olympic Square for thousands of worldwide visitors. Jerrytown's root rock drone comes from years of influence from artists like Toad the Wet Sprocket, Counting Crows and Our Lady Peace.

really nice mellow rock... vocals remind me a little of smashing pumpkins or our lady peace. Its a top effort with no weak songs. Only letdown is the album is a little samey in parts, but that only lost it a star for me :). Nice cd cover too!

After scouring the internet, looking for the Great Undiscovered Record, I think I've found it. Way Out Waiting is, from top to bottom, a superior album which balances musical virtuosity with radio-friendly hooks. This record is quite simply head and shoulders above anything I've encountered in my quest for the Next Big Thing.
