High energy, hard hitting progressive/alternative rock music with unique electric violin instrumentation throughout. Song content and lyrics are dominated by a heavy dose of intelligent sarcasm.

OUR HUMBLE LITTLE STORY:

Jerk Parade is a progressive / alternative rock band formed in 2000 by guitarist Tim Myers and electric violinist James Sudakow. We started by playing high energy, live shows in the greater Los Angeles area and built a small, but enthusiastic following as a result of the unique music and instrumentation, high energy live performances, and tendency to sarcastically make fun of each other on stage.

Over the last year, Jerk Parade released it's first full length CD – "Don’t Steal the Magic". The songs and lyrics on the CD reflect the band's sarcasm towards almost anything and everything while at the same time combining a unique hard hitting, high energy progressive / alternative rock sound with unique instrumentation.

HOW WE GOT OUR NAME:

Back a few years when we were called “Minus Linus”, we were working with our 3rd front man and vocalist who was convinced that he was the next great icon of the rock world. When it became apparent that this working relationship would inevitably end up with therapy for many members of the band, we decided to cut ties with the latest vocal icon-to-be. In a fit of rage, this latest vocalist proclaimed: “Face it, you guys are jerks! Go have a parade or something!” Jerk Parade was proudly born that day.

ARE WE REALLY JERKS?

We don’t think so, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

JERK PARADE is:

Jerk #1: James Sudakow
Electric Violin, Lead and Backing Vocals

Jerk #2: Tim Myers
Guitars

Jerk #3: David Gaziel
Drums & Percussion

Special Guest Jerk: Matt Bissonette
Bass

Big Fat Jerk Producer: Eric Zimmermann

FINAL NOTE ABOUT JERK PARADE & OUR PHILOSOPHY:

If you think that “American Idol” is good television, Jerk Parade probably isn’t the band for you.
