A note from Chris:
This album is a labor of love for my family and friends (this means YOU!). I have been asked multiple times to do a project like this and I am so glad I did. It was a blast! Although, at times it was hard to be in the "Christmas Spirit" in July in Phoenix, AZ! I hope this album brings you happy thoughts and adds a little joy to your holiday season. And who knows, you might just listen to it once or twice throughout the year. Olé! -Chris Burton Jácome
BIO
Chris Burton Jácome began playing guitar in 1986. While living in Sevilla, Spain, Chris studied flamenco guitar with some of the greatest flamenco performers of this era including: Miguel Aragón, Manolo Franco, Juan del Gastor, Juan Amador, Juana Amaya, Enrique Robles, Segundo Falcón and Cristo "El Francés."
Chris has played to many sold-out theatres and has performed throughout the US from New York to San Francisco, Wisconsin to Texas as well as in Canada and Mexico. Chris is currently the musical director for Calo Flamenco, ballet de Martín Gaxiola. Chris writes the music and lyrics for Calo’s productions and performs live with his musical ensemble for Calo’s Broadway-ready flamenco dance shows.
Chris’ debut CD, Motivación, received this comment from Scott Barker of Tucson Lifestyle Magazine, "Chris Burton Jácome joins the ranks of Flamenco guitar masters”. The title track, “Motivación”, finished in the Top 10 in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest World Music Category in 2002 and “La Tormenta” from the same album won First Prize in the World Music Category of American Idol Underground in 2005. Chris’ second album, “Pa’lante”, was just as well received: “Pa'lante is an astonishing release…”–(Maurice E.O.M.) & “Highly recommended for fans of flamenco… ” –(Guitar Nine Records)
Chris’ music can be heard on the Emmy Award Winning PBS television special: “Flamenco”, (broadcast in Arizona by KAET-TV Channel 8: Mike Sauceda, producer). Chris’ flamenco version of the Christmas Classic, “Joy to the World”, was included in Coldwater Creek Catalogue’s 2004 Christmas CD. Chris’ beautiful strumming can be heard as the featured soloist in the movie soundtrack of “9/tenths”. Chris’ 4th album entitled, “Flamenco” is an exciting new work eliciting reviews like “Jácome’s gorgeous, evocative compositions are a testament to his abilities as a writer and performer…”-(Get Out! Magazine’s Chris Hansen) and “An extraordinary and fresh-sounding, passionate album...”-(Slipcue.com).

Flamenco Guitar Christmas
author: LaurieI'm not a fan of Christmas music and my office mate was playing it to my dismay. In my desperation, I searched for Flamenco Christmas music and found your CD. I LOVE IT!!! Thank you for making Christmas music that I actually enjoy listening to.
A refreshing change from the ordinary
author: DianaI collect all kinds of christmas music, and I was looking forward to receiving Chris' recording. It has the traditional favorites we're all familiar with, but with a nice twist. He starts out with the basic, classic melody, then kicks it up with his own personal flamenco style. My favorite is "The Little Drummer Boy."
Great mix of songs
author: Joseph MarquezThe selection of songs on this CD brings out different flavors and rhythms of flamenco guitar music. I am not an expert on this type of music but I know good music when I hear it and this CD has some wonderful selections. The recording is clean and the tonal quality of Chris' guitar is balanced. I have heard him live and he sounds like the CD. I look forward to his next CD.
Excellent - just as anticipated!
author: WendyI bought several to give as gifts to family and friends. Everyone has loved it! It is a fun break from the traditional versions of these songs that you constantly hear on the radio. Silent Night is always a favorite for me and I also really enjoy this version of Ave Maria. The CD is a must have for your holiday music collection!
