notes

The Southside Chicago bred artist/C.E.O of Stone Cold Recordz named Jay -aka - Jay Stone -aka- Jay Dinero has as many styles as he has monikers. The self proclaimed frank white of the chi began his career with the 3 man 1 woman group "thug world order" in which he was the driving force behind the groups first and only release on the independent label stone cold recordz , "the world is ours. " disappointed in the direction in which the group was heading, jay decided to focus on cultivating his solo career. Jay went on to release his first solo venture entitled "im here now". The album's first single and video "get down" stimulated quite a buzz with the help of local radio mixshow dj's, radio stations including power 92 and wgci, midwest mixshow djs, and heavy street promotions throughout the midwest. The video was aired on bet's uncut along with several internet video shows and cable access channels throughout the midwest and southern regions of the country. In 2004, the independent label stone cold recordz released the mixtape "code of the streetz: vol1" in which jay dinero was the feaured artist. The cd boasted features and songs from some of chicago's hottest unsigned talent and produced a number of definite club bangers. After a 2 year hiatus, stone cold recordz and jay dinero -aka- the ambassador of the go is set to release his sophomore solo release, "go ill: the album. " this album promises to show growth from jay as an artist and solidify him as a threat to what is known as the "typical chicago sound". "this time around i incorporated producers from all over the country including a up and coming dude from tokyo named kut on a couple of tracks. I got some beats from a couple of my guys from down south one from philly one from seattle. Im broadening my horizons on this one. I just wanted to open up the spectrum on this one, ya know? its something on here for folks 8 to 80, real talk. Its a couple of song on here the old me wouldnt have done, but im trying to spread my wings. See for yourself. "
