Album Notes

About JA! Dear non-reader: Hello to you. Here is a short History of JA! Jan Helmut and Ulrich Hammer are products of the East German System of Education for Young Men. Born in East Berlin, they met as children while living in cubicles within the Tenement for Behaviorally Deficient Children. It was there, in castles made of concrete, that they learned to play musical instruments. The songs of Helmut and Hammer are possessed by a spirit of inexplicable darkness, blackness, and the rest of that stuff. Accompanied by their BAND, (JA!) their live show combines the soul-lessness of digital technology with the excruciating volume of vintage analog. The result is oddly pleasing. That is all you need to know for now. Keep it rocking, dear non-reader!
