Singer/songwriter who wears his heart on his sleeve and isn't afraid to sing about it; his debut album easily cycles between haunting ballads and guitar-propelled rockers laden with hooky choruses.

notes
Jason Riggs is a singer/songwriter who wears his heart on his sleeve and isn't afraid to sing about it. His songs tell a tale of unrequited love, escape, and eventual redemption marked by passionate vocals and emotionally driven guitar playing. His album "These Wheels" conjures up folk music's accessibility, rock'n'roll's sense of abandon, and an unabashed love of American roots music.
Riggs was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He spent six years working a soul-suckin' day job at a semiconductor plant, whilst playing guitar at night in the almost thriving Duke City music scene. Upon getting 'laid off' from said soul suckin' day job, Jason decided that "this is as good a time as any to pursue music full time." He recorded "These Wheels," threw his guitar in the back of his pickup truck, and hit the road in search of adventure.
"These Wheels...unflinchingly rocks with heart, soul, and guts galore." - Guitar Nine Records
"His performance is heartfelt and passionate, and he's got the knack for the anthemic hook." - Albuquerque Journal
"...ridden with ballads and heartbroken anthems, written back in the days when long drives south eased the pain." - Laramie Daily Boomerang
"With his deep, raspy voice and forceful guitar that can instantly calm down for a tender ballad, the rock'n'roll feel is there." - Pueblo Chieftan

Look Out!!!
author: Jason BennettIf I could buy stock in Jason Riggs I would. He's got the goods to go a long way. His songs are catchy, yet retain their integrity with lyrics in the same vein as The Boss. These Wheels is perfect for driving down the highway watching the sun set. Look out....Jason Riggs is rollin' down the highway, and he's got something to say.....
A Really Terrific CD
author: Michael Najjar"These Wheels" is a great road trip album, which is a real compliment coming from me. It has rockers like "Remember the Night" and "Windows Rolled Down" combined with the terrific ballads "Incomplete Turnaround" and "Every Word". I've seen him play live, and this album captures his ability to write catchy tunes and heartfelt lyrics. Especially recommended for that long stretch between Gallup and Los Angeles!
