notes
Jan Harrison, Song Writer, Singer, and Performer, was born in El Paso, Texas, but raised in North Carolina, near the Blue Ridge Mountains. Although her heritage descends from the Old West, in Arizona, and although she currently lives in Southern Arizona, her heart resides in Tennessee. She's the youngest of five children, and she had a very good up-bringing, by two very loving, and dedicated, parents.
Jan got her first guitar when she was 15 years old. She started showing an interest in music at a very early age. She started writing songs, and composing music, with her guitar, as well as, her keyboard. In school, she was nicknamed, "Jan Baez", for comparison to the folklore legend singer, "Joan Baez". Composing songs and music, playing guitar, and sharing with others, is something Jan Harrison takes pleasure in.
Jan Harrison's dream had always been to go to Nashville, Tennessee, to succeed as Country Singer. Her dream, did come true, as she recorded her debut album, "Reflections of Jan Harrison", released in 2002. Although, heritage has brought her back to Arizona, Jan is a firm believer, that one can dream big, and succeed, reaching dreams, if one "wants", enough. Well.... Jan dreams big! Jan believes, and knows, she will continue to flourish in her Song Writing, and Performing of Music, since it's her way of sharing with others, something, that is special in her own heart, soul, and spirit. Jan loves music, but she also loves to give to others, through her God-given talent, both, in the "here", and the "hereafter".
