Janel Nicole is a blessed unique actress, entrepreneur, model, singer, and song writer who is planning to become the 1st R&B/Pop legendary female professional singer from the state of Delaware. Her talents began to blossom at the tender age of nine years old when she sang her first solo in a local community talent show in Wilmington, Delaware. Her strong voice and passion to sing began at home with her family. Janel Nicole sang wherever she went and made songs just about everything. Sometimes she would grab a pen, crayon, or whatever she could and it pretend it was a microphone and sing her little heart out. She was surrounded by composers, musicians, producers, and singers of all genres. And that’s what made her love for music grow. Janel Nicole was inspired to fulfill her life long dream by watching her aunt Rita sing with their church choir. Janel Nicole loved singing in her church choir and anticipated the times when her aunt would sing a solo again.
In her adolescent years, she joined school choirs, performed in school plays and later received recognition for her talents in Delaware’s local news journal. Janel Nicole later became a mentor/ role model for her peers and community. She was active in sports such as: track and field- 4x100, 4x200. She participated in shot put, discus, hi-jump, basketball, cheerleading, and martial arts. In addition to her busy life, she was determined to excel in whatever she put her mind to and she decided to further her talent opportunities by singing at open mic nights in regional clubs, performing at the Delaware River front, and networking within the music industry.
In 1998, Janel Nicole graduated from John Dickinson high school and later attended Delaware technical and community college where she majored in small business management and biotechnology.
In 2001, Janel Nicole became a member of ASCAP and obtained a publishing company known as granny goose publishing that is also registered with ASCAP. Since then Janel Nicole has owned and operated a child care facility; Gifted Minds Child Care which was located in Newark, de, a convenient store; spotlights at Janel’s which was located in the Canby Park shopping center in Wilmington, de, and a supportive service company for independent musicians and performing artists; worldwide music link which is located in Newark, de as well.
Janel Nicole’s ultimate goal is to open her own record label and assist others in living their dreams. In addition to her accomplishments she has learned to put god first and foremost and she believes that is the true reason why she is such a blessed and unique individual. Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce to you one of Delaware’s finest Janel Nicole the future R&B legend!
