Album Notes

Eddie Dunlap, drums Kyp Green, bass James Vernon, piano The James Vernon Trio combines versions of jazz standards with Vernon’s original work, synthesizing sources from modern "jazz" and modern "classical" palettes. This is a live recording of acoustic piano, acoustic bass, and drums in a concert hall, with fine recording gear and without audience. The objective was to capture the natural sound of the instruments and ensemble in a listening environment. The dynamic range has been preserved as much as possible. (Because of this, you may wish to turn up the volume a bit as compared to pop recordings.)
