Jim Rust is a two-time Central California Songwriter's Association songwriting contest winner who has been performing in the Fresno area for the past few years. Before that he was a performer in and around San Diego. He is a member of the group Acoustic Highway, along with Rick & Joanne Calhoun. He also performed in the Songwriters Traveling Showcase, along with 5 other CCSA members, in the 2005 Rogue Festival, and will be performing 4 shows with Acoustic Highway at the 2006 festival as well. He is the host of the open mic at Full Circle Brewing Company the 3rd Saturday of every month. Jim recently released his first solo CD, Standing and Staring, which was produced by lengendary guitarist Roger Perry.
