Alive in 2005 is the culmination of the hundreds of live gigs that James has played since releasing his last live album, 40 Minutes of Peace. Recorded one Saturday night in June 2005 far from the electricity grid in a marquee erected in the middle of the Forest of Dean, England, it features both old and new material as well as some stunning guitar improvisations. The CD reflects the special atmosphere of the charmed night and the spontaneity that has come to characterise James' live performance.

author: Michael FJ HiscoxI got this CD when i went to see James play in Bristol for about the 3rd time. When i got back to my home with a few mates we put the cd on and it got played over and over into the small hours of the morning... I keep playing this CD too all my mates who havent heard James play and they all seem to love it. And Why Shouldnt They? The Tracks on it are amazing, he has got to be one of the greatest live performers i have ever seen/heard, some of the things he has done on the Acoustic Guitar hadnt even dreamt to be possible. As this is a live CD the tracks flow through brilliantly and you get introductions to certain tracks, so you get the full experience. I Highly reccommend you all buy this cd straight away as your lives will be nothing without experiencing James Hollingsworth's Powerfully inspiring songs. Do It, Do It Now!
